Individual Spiritual Direction

*Cost:
60 mins |  $65 -$100

  • A typical rhythm is to meet on a monthly basis, although this can differ by person and by season.

  • The spiritual direction relationship is one of non-judgement, you are safe and welcome to share about any aspect of your life whether ordinary or transcendent, joyful or sorrowful.

  • Paul will not try to change or fix you and will resist giving advice. Instead, as a companion Paul will be a non-anxious presence walking with you and listening with you for what the Spirit might be speaking within your story.

  • Spiritual Directors are not therapists or coaches, think of a patient saunter through the woods rather than a hike toward a specific destination. Intentions are oriented towards wonder, discovery, healing, freedom, and a deepening connection to the Divine. Problem solving and personal achievement are not considered metrics of success within spiritual companioning.

  • Spiritual Direction conversations are entirely confidential. The only exceptions are in situations of abuse or danger, in which case Spiritual Directors are mandatory reporters.

*Please find an amount within this sliding scale that works well for you.

Contemplative Hikes for Groups

A guided unhurried experience of savoring the natural world while paying attention to our own interior landscapes and the movements of the Spirit. Along the way we may take time to reflect on scripture and poetry through Lectio Divina, engage nature through all of our senses, consider the rhythms of plants & animals, practice periods of silence/listening, and hold our noticings together in open nonjudgemental conversation.

  • Day hikes as well as overnight trips can be tailored to specific groups.

  • Cost will vary.

“I don't know exactly what a prayer is.
I do know how to pay attention, how to fall down
into the grass, how to kneel down in the grass,
how to be idle and blessed, how to stroll through the fields.”

- Mary Oliver
